New Homes are Stressful
By now, everyone understands the importance of nonverbal communication. Very few of us have been taught the differences between humans and dogs...and much of what we have been told is wrong.
PLEASE watch for these signs in your new friend. Give them calm and quiet space when you see them.
PLEASE BE PATIENT
It is natural to want to show your new dog to family, friends, and neighbors. You want to take them everywhere and show them everything. Please don't. Give them at least 3 days of calm and quiet at home with no visitors. They may need even more.
