Our Mission
The Dog House offers refuge to companion animals from high-kill shelters who are deserving of loving homes. Great dogs that would otherwise be euthanized are up to date on their shots, spayed/neutered, and obedience trained so that they will continue to be good citizens in furever families.
GREAT FAMILY DOG! Oreo is good with kids, cats, and other dogs. Greets strangers well. Walks on a loose leash and knows sit. Car rides and playing in water are some of her favorite things--we picture her making trips to Tahoe with her new owner! Oreo also enjoys benebones, kisses, and being hugged.

Skeeter is the gentlest soul we have met. The kind of guy that gets along with everybody and everything. His happiest moments are receiving chin rubs on the patio and sleeping in our room. This medium sized boy loves having a yard with shade to meander and feels super special when he is chosen to go for a walk. PERFECT FIRST DOG!
Not even a year old--this German Shepherd puppy is ready to light up your life! She LOVES to go for walks and learn. Joan is looking for a home that will be active and take her on adventures. She is a confident companion who enjoys playing games and following her leader. If you have been wanting a German Shepherd pup to become the star of the neighborhood: look no further.
